Sports Film and Media Internship
Put your film and media skills to work in St. Lucia, a Caribbean island renowned for its stunning volcanic landscapes, lush rainforests, and breathtaking Atlantic and Caribbean coastlines. This inspiring backdrop provides the perfect setting for your creative talents. Our in-country program uses sport to transform lives in underprivileged communities, and we rely on captivating footage to document these efforts. Your work will play a vital role in showcasing the impact of our projects, supporting fundraising efforts, and inspiring future volunteers.
Within our projects there is also the opportunity to support our coaching programs through film and media. In order to develop sport on the island holistically, we also work with some of the island’s elite performers such as the National Rugby and Netball Teams and some of the islands best emerging Tennis and Cricket players. Interns can work with coaches to capture footage for video analysis and technical modelling. Opportunities are also available to teach photography and videography to children within our in-school and community projects.
Your Film and Media Internship Placement in Saint Lucia
During your internship you will assist our in-country charity by producing media to be used for commercial and marketing purposes. Within our programme interns will be a valuable asset to our coaches and athletes by attending sports events and training sessions, providing in-play footage for video analysis. As with many developing countries, film and photography is only accessible to the wealthy minority and under resourced schools are not able to provide lessons in these skills. Our film and media projects are a great platform for children and young adults to be trained in this discipline, teaching them the right skills to one day seek their own professional careers in media and journalism.
Although there are defined and suggested roles in this placement, creativity is encouraged. We can provide you with unique access to communities, people and life stories that a typical tourist would not have. If you are working towards making some form of documentary or specific project then we’ll make the efforts to help you meet the right people.

Criminal Records Check
We require you to complete a criminal records check in order to take part in this experience. We can accept those that have been done in the last two years if you have the certificate. In the UK it can be done through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), in the USA further details can be found on Travel.State.Gov, otherwise please search for your local service provider. We may also request a reference from a reliable source. You must supply these to us before departure and also take a copy with you to present to the in-country team.
Why do we require a criminal background check?
1) Ensuring a safe environment is conducive to learning, productivity and overall positive experiences for everyone involved.
2) We implement thorough screening processes and we are committed to safety and integrity, fostering trust among participants and the local community.
3) Conducting background checks serves as a preventive measure, deterring individuals with questionable backgrounds from attempting to participate in our programme.
4) Safeguards vulnerable people from potential harm within the programme.
